The judges have found out that the young maid Loredana is in union with the devil and escapes from her cell by means of magical powers.
There are also witnesses to her witchcraft that were made to confess under the most painful interview. Now the interrogation continues until bringing out her very last secret.
In her cell, they can starve her in order then to meet her pleas with water and bread under harassment.
